By Any Chance Are You German?

Wow, and to think I've been doing it manually all this time...

I just want to add that white can play Nbd2 and then follow up with e3 at the proper moment to avoid getting checkmated. Black gave a pawn to steer away from a normal game, and white gives it back to get a normal game with some favorable imbalances. :)

Tyvm Namahshivaya, Getting Back On Topic... And Thanks For The Nice Opinion, Definately Interesting.

AndyClifton

Hm, Last I Recall, The Topic Was This Whole Capitalizing Every Word Thing...

AndyClifton

Yes, he was tremendous.  Kramden & Norton are my favorite comedy duo of all time. Smile

kapishreshta

I Don't See What Is Wrong With A Little Capitalization. I Also Don't See What Being German Has To Do With Our Conversation. And I Believe The Intended Topic Is Who Is Better In That Interesting Nc3 Budapest Position. Wink

AndyClifton

Very Well, Namahshivaya, I Am Willing To Overlook Your Inability To See The Germaneness Of Being German To The Discussion At Hand.

kapishreshta

He He He :)

This Topic Has Gone Haywire, But I Do Like Uhavebeenserved's comment, I Don't Mind Playing Either Line, Granted Haven't Used It Much But It Is Still Fun Every Now And Then.

AndyClifton

Oh Come On, We Have Not Yet Begun To Haywire!

BBostrom

You Kind Of Have, I Have Noticed You Do That Alot AndyCliffton, Just An Observation. Can We Try To Stay On Topic Please?

BBostrom

I Find It Has Some Potential Around It, Question Wasn't About The Type Of Opening, It Is About The State Of Either Side When In Action.

AndyClifton

Yes, I Have Tried To Stay On The Topic, But, As ciljettu Has Pointed Out, It's A Topic Best Forgotten About.  Besides Which, I Should Point Out To You That "Alot" Is Actually Two Words (So You Really Should Be Typing "A Lot").  I Certainly Don't Want You To Miss The Opportunity Of Using Another Capital Letter Whenever The Chance Presents Itself.

The one thing i do not like playing the Budapest in tourneys is how easy white can draw the position ...i won with luck one time in tourney when white messed up a king and pawn endgame both even...so white has to pretty much blunder for black to win ..

BBostrom

That, Is What I Have Been Hearing Lately, But I Feel Like That Isn't The Complete Truth.

AndyClifton

A king & pawn ending is a long way from the opening...

BBostrom

I Mean The Black Has No Chance Unless A Blunder Happens For White, It Does Not Seem Quite Right To Me.
