You should castle when you have no better option.

Here's a rated match game where I castled on move 27.

Maybe also when you have more than one better option which are mutually exclusive. That makes it a waiting move.

🎯 The Castling Theory

💡 Principle: Castle after the opponent’s queen is gone

⚡ Why: Safe king + faster development + better tactical opportunities

If there are no other option and u can get a checkmate, u must castle instant of waiting for queen trade but if there is no worrys about checkmate,, this theory is useful.

This theory makes no sense.

I support building castles. It keeps the Nordic rabble at bay, along with my untrustworthy neighbors the Burgundians, Saxons, Frisians, and all that nonsense across the Rhine. Because I play 1.e4 gambits I also follow the rule castle early--castle often. If I were playing openings that were closed or semi-open, I could be more flexible in when or even if I castled, but in games in which there may be a completely open center, not castling is very risky.

This is very useful. I'm going to try this sometime. Does anyone believe me? You want my castling theory? You castle when the work of development is done or just before that because your king is going to be threatened.
