What's the msg they ask to fill in? "please let me join?"...

tipish

anyhow they write there, no name and shame so no point. I want a group where I can name lay out the facts openly. here is my opponent look here and here were he cheated everybody should see facts. That's how we get results. in fact I stopped reporting cheaters cuz last time I contact chesscom it took me 4 weeks to got that cheater banned.

Lord_Hammer

just ask, and you will get in

I just resigned a game against someone using an engine.  I reported it, resigned the game, and moved on.

There is nothing to discuss.  Its the internet, and people will cheat, and there is nothing to do about it.

Move on....

Like i said.  I reported the member, and let it go after that.  I wont waste my time checking to see if something was done or not.

Better thing to do is report and prolong the game.

The reason you can't name and shame is because not many people have a clue of what cheating looks like.

Join the group, post the games and more than likely someone experienced will look at them.

Yeah, that would be a good start. Tell them why you want to join.

Yes, there is no naming and shaming.

As Scottrf states, the vast majority of people do not know what cheating looks like.

And as IMBacon states, just report and move on. So someone cheated against you. Big deal.

Odds are that what you suspect as cheating simply wasn't. If it is, then reporting it has a good chance of getting the person banned. And frankly, there are ways of cheating that if the person is sophisticated enough are very unlikely to get caught and some don't even involve an engine.

Cheating is part of the online chess landscape. That said, it is a smaller part than many people think.

Too often someone is accused of cheating simply because the accuser lost and can't accept the fact they were outplayed.

I sent you a PM answering your question.

Finally.....something to sink my teeth into.happy.png  Post #5--"I stopped reporting cheaters cuz last time I contact chesscom it took me 4 weeks to got that cheater banned".  This tells most people, you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to cheating. Chess.com is an international site where people all over the world play other members from all over the world. One accusation does not a cheater make. It takes time--4 weeks.....for Chess.com to look at all submitted tickets. If many people submit accusations on the same person.....he's gone. You had nothing to do with getting him banned. He banned himself by cheating too much.

Would you like us to submit this message for you under "message"...?     "anyhow they write there, no name and shame so no point.
