The Chess Art Thread
Thanks guys. I thought about doing the perspective thing but it's only a 1ft by 1ft board so perspective was too minuscule to notice anyway so I didn't do it.
I was thinking of adding something for scale but I was afraid of ruining it.

Chess: A Gay Old Love Story
The white pawn jumps to c4 feeling the optimism that comes from a fresh new game. The cunning black knight counters with c6 the kings indian defense waits to obliterate whites english. white carries on with Knight to c3as the 2 dance away to the middle game. madness takes over the 64 square board. carnage all around and no queen can be found. anarchy rules as the cowardly kings keeps hidden away. The white bishops hold their diagonals, but the black knights charge on, claiming pawn after pawn. The ivory rooks can do nothing but watch. for the threat of a fork keeps them stopped. A brave island of pawns stand up to the beast as they stab him in the throat and leave him to bleed. they charge on with hope to bring forth a new queen. the rooks break free to help the brave three. The end game is here and the end for black near. As the pawns look back they see their bishops being slain by black. Even if they wanted to they couldn’t go back. The middle pawn reaches the top rank and an impressed king courts the brave man. a queen is made and gay marriage saves the land. The black king concedes seeing no hope for victory.
Well, what to say about "David und Goliath spielen schach"
by Siegfried Zademack. This is IMHO one of the most interesting fine art pieces involving chess.
