Very imaginative!

Thanks Crosspinner. I have some other things to post if I could get my scanner working. Well...my cell phone camera will have to do for now.
Here's something I worked on for each square a couple of years ago. I was looking for a way to represent the squares as intersections based on how the pieces move. Here we see the square c4. Pawns were a little tricky to represent since the white and black pawns are moving in different directions and they also capture differently than they move.
Now for the question of "So what? Who cares?"
Well it is important to tactics on some level. If I am a rook on c4, I would need to watch out for attacks from say...an enemy knight on any of the squares marked with "N".

This is a neat design.

Here I am playing a game of chess with my friend. Tsk tsk...he's moving his queen out way too early.

It took me a couple of seconds before I saw the blood dripping from the pawn in post 645.

I painted this several months ago in photoshop. No reference, just off the top of my head.

This is very excellent. The perspective is right on. The squares on the board show your ability to handle the perspective. I like the curious cat, too. Just like a cat.

I got my scanner working. This is a map of the square c5. It kind of shows something about piece movement to and from c5.
Another book of chess poetry.
