En passant is a valid move.
The soccer/football maneuver you refer to is a foul.
Not the same thing at all.
Technically it's pretty similar things no matter if it's within the rules or not.

You're rated 200. You cant play chess. What gives you the authority to challenge a rule which has been in place for hundreds of years?
So if someone is rated 200 they can't have an opinion?
They are entitled to an opinion but there is no reason why anyone should consider their opinion to have any credibility.
Arey Yaar think like this no. Simply one can having opinion on various matter but not on the subject at hand. Then, it is multiple input is coming. Not at all necessary one is having special expertise the core subject it is.

Apparently, if you're rated 200, you'll want to pluck your eyeballs out every time you see en passant occur...Ouch!
It makes perfect sense to me. In chess, opposing pawns (armies) are meant to confront one another, so it seems unfair, and contrary to the spirit of the game, that a pawn could use the option of moving two squares and avoid a confrontation.
Imagine zl0ck or one of his Bruhs playing OTB rapid and holding a winning position against an U8 girl then in the last two minutes of play she stops the clocks and calls in the arbiter who upholds her claim for a draw because zl0ck isn't making any progress with his overwhelming material advantage. I've seen this scenario more than once or twice in OTB junior rapid play tournaments, occasionally amusing but mostly sad.
Learn the rules, learn the moves, understand all the requirements to win a game, play and have fun.

Many Indians are practicing such practices as penance to the god only. Eyeball pullage and also using fingernails the grow through palm to please the god

Exactly, en passant is not a foul, it is a rule of the game. If the rule had helped the OP win a game, he probably wouldn't have made this topic.
