It means that a source shouldn't be so damn hard for you to find.

this coming from the guy who can't bring himself to comprehend that there are more playable chess games up to move 40 than there are atoms in the universe. This is a FACT, and one I can source, I might add. If you want a source for THAT, see Game Over: Kasparov and the Machine. If you wanted MORE proof, sorry. I would go through the mathematics with you, but I doubt you are intelligent enough to follow.

As for you, ivandh, if you want to source it, go ahead; I'm not going to waste my time. I can prove it for chess and that alone is enough to support my argument.

I'd like to see your history papers.

"Its common knowledge that the Civil War was about Canada, so I'm not going to provide a source. I can prove it but I'm not going to."

Actually, I'm a girl. First mistake. Next, it is not a fact that there are "more playable chess games up to move 40 than there are atoms in the universe". You are retarded. Though your retardation may allow me to be amused for a few minutes while you go over the mathematics with me.Laughing

"more playable chess games up to move 40 than there are atoms in the universe"

I'm pretty confident this may be truth

corrijean

Isn't there a sample size problem with this whole idea?  There are obviously fewer women chess players than male chess players.  If you walk around a chess tournament it's pretty easy to see this is true.  An estimate based on my observations is that women players are outnumbered about 25:1.  Let's say elite players are 3 σ above the mean, or 0.1% of the population.  0.1% of 25 is a lot more than 0.1% of 1.

Then, pdela, I am confident that you are just as ridiculous as wolf.

wow

I agree with trysts on this one. Without a comprehensive unified theory describing the universe, it is impossible to say how large the universe is, and it is certainly impossible to prescribe a definite figure to the number of atoms in the universe.

pdela

1080

khpa21

10^80 whats?

ivandh

Could I have a source, or is that "common knowledge"?

pdela

according to current theorys the calculated number of atoms in observable universe

-X-

Estimates of the matter content of the observable universe indicate that it contains between 7.0 × 1079 and 1.5 × 1082 atoms.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observable_universe

I would like to see some numbers and a source for the number of playable chess games up to move 40.

What current theories? Wikipedia?
