The Female Brain Relating to Chess (kinda)

I totally agree with X and Y.

My wife can do 7 things at once and I can almost manage two.  If I am playing chess and she interrupts with something, I even get annoyed because my focus and total immersed concentration is broken and this will often end up in restart of analysis or even a mistake being made in the chess game.  If she was playing chess and I interrupted, she would take it in her stride.

IMO, women definitely multitask better.  Men singletask better.

You shouldn't be annoyed at that, just accept and understand that men and women's brains ARE different.  One is not better than the other, they are simply different.   Not all are the same either, there are men who can multitask well etc, but yeah, in my experience X and Y are correct.

borgqueen, the problem is your judgement is solely based on one experience of yours. And imagine the "house husbands". They would probably do the same things as the housewives, it's just that traditionally men tend to do other stuff like work, thinking of women more as the nurturers. There are a lot of women who suck at multitasking, a lot of women who are good at it, a lot of men who are good at it, and a lot of men who are bad at it. I'm with Kupov: we need sources.

You'd have to be completely clueless not to realize that men have more logical brains/pathways to thinking while women have more emotional ones.

 That statement doesn't make sense.

I think the poster is referring to the well known fact that men's brains are shaped more like footballs. Chess and the use of a remote control are directly related to this shape.

I may have made this up....nevermind.

"I base this on how men perceive bunnies in general. They don't want bunnies around because they say it just means more bunnies. But I think bunnies are cute, and they lay all these colourful eggs, like from a rainbow and stuff."

Ahh, yes... the straw man argument is indeed a common last resort of the ignorant when they have been bested in an argument.

More silliness. You present as "fact" the ability to determine the amount of atoms in the universe. You say my brain is limited in being able to do mathematics in comparison with yours, because you have a penis. Thus, you have pointed out time and time again, that your ability to reason is retarded in some way. The "straw man fallacy" does not apply. Charity may...Laughing

I'm going to stay out of this topic, however, I just want to remind everyone here to be more open minded. Has the human mind really changed so much since the time when it was considered "common knowledge" that our Earth is flat?

No, the last resort is claiming to have won when you clearly lost.

Eh...just look at the Top Chess Ratings List...it's pretty clear what gender has the better brain.  Case closed.

Thank you for solving this in two sentences which has perplexed our puny brains for so long. I hear the FBI and the CIA want to hire you.

Eh...are you taking credit for the hard work a few people have put into the game? The only "case closed" is your skull.Laughing
