The memberships didn't start until May 2007. @jay was the first actual joined member.

Any accounts with dates before that were inherited from the site importing from another site.
There are trolls around these types of questions saying 'wELL tHe fIrSt pLaYeR wAs [insert most random and dumb name here] and then talk about nonsense. Even Google couldn't show me something real.

Who is the first member of chess.com not including @chesscom
I'll bet 1million dollars that Batgirl is older than me.
And you have to be the one that made the account.
is it because you were born in 2008 or after that

when did chess.com open?
2007 when it was a site with sign ups but planning and design started earlier.

@Erik and @Jay joined May 7, 2007; @Piotr joined May 8, 2007. Those were the Big Three. @billwall joined sometime in May 2007, but since he closed his account the exact date isn't evident (I think it was the 24th though). @batgirl joined June 13, 2007. @Patzer24 joined June 26, 2007.
Most of the staff we know, e.g. @Kayt, @Brenda, @Jacyln, @Brotherjosh, @Alex, @sean, @jdcannon, @Amelia, joined much, much later- in the double-digits. Even @danielrensch, one of the oldest, didn't join until 12-20-2008.
I rarely run into someone who joined earlier than I, but they do exist. Most people move on. eventually.
it says may 18
I found this mysterious account and its the oldest I've ever seen. Older than the founders... curious... Who is this?
