It is after a long while that I post here and would like to start off by appreciating the tremendous performance of GM-Fabiano Caruana in St.Louis.
I have seen chess fans proclaim that the two Cs (Carlsen and Caruana) are going to dominate the top level chess for years to come. However, they seem to be forgetting someone...GM-Sergey Karjakin who not so long ago, outlasted Carlsen and Caruana to win the Norway Chess 2014.
How do you think the future of World Chess will shape up? I reckon the top four will soon be - Carlsen, Caruana, Karjakin and Giri
A tennis style domination is coming...Carlsen will be Federer (the naturally talented and already top seed), Caruana will be Nadal (gets to Federer, has more preparation than talent), Karjakin will be Djokovic (the only one with stamina to outlast even Nadal...just witness Karjakin's fortress building in the game against Giri in Norway)...and Giri will be Murray (the outsider but on his day he is just as good as the others)
