not really nothing will happen and it won't kill the game entirely, more it will simply just be another drama that occurred in the chess world and people will be like "oh yeah that thing" lol

It might be that event organisers will have to go to even greater lengths to assuage the fears of their competitors or the reputation of the game will suffer.
We don't know yet what Carlsen thinks might be happening but one thing I'm sure of is that he's in a much better situation to assess the risk of cheating than the hive mind which constitutes the internet.

It will generate a lot of extra cash for streamers. This is will generate TMZ like views from folks that don’t normally play or watch chess. What happens afterwards is anyones guess.
Judging from the discourse over the last few days, one thing we have learned from this is that chess doesn't make you any smarter.

I havent seen Hans supporters mention the obvious.

Of course, cheating will kill chess. Cheating has already killed baseball, basketball, soccer, football, boxing, cycling, track and field, wrestling, hunting and fishing, gymnastics, racing, shooting, sailing, and marriage. Darn cheaters, what’s next? Elections, taxes, weights and measures?
it’s one of the only sports that relies on purely mental intuition and it’s engaging but then when grandmasters start doing this sort of nonesense and are like “I’m not going to play anymore because I think it’s unfair”...it’s like why I’m I watching this?
Given that Carlsen hasn't said why he withdrew, what nonsense are you talking about?
Why not wait and see what transpires over the next few weeks before jumping to conclusions? I also recommend you read up about the Topalov-Kramnik match and you will learn that this is nothing new.
