your not playing worse, your opponent is playing better.
The longer is the time control the worse i play...

Yea, 'cuz i learn from bullet and blitz, something 90% of players don't do.

The only reason to play bullet/blitz is to relax, really, and maybe practice openings. Maybe to test out your vision - see how fast you can spot tactical ideas.

I'm the opposite, the shorter the time control the worse I play...have lost small local B class OTB classical 30/60 tournaments in the tiebreak (5 minute games) twice because they are too short for me....I have to think about every move because I have little memorized....tried reading chess books but can't get through them because they just bore me to death.
This has nothing to do with chess. This is your brain gettting a rush of hormones from fast games. You don’t get the same rush from slower games, because they’re slower so the dopamine takes longer to arrive. You’re impatient for the rush you get so longer games feel “boring”. You’re not here to play fast chess, you’re here to get a dopamine kick from winning. It’s an addiction, like a drug. There’s been lots of good advice, and I think you already know what to do. Slow down and find a way to enjoy chess calculation.
yes very true... there was a moment in round 2 OTB... me vs 2050 rated. 3 moves out of the opening and the guy spends 20 minutes calculating.. i see him calculating and i am like.. What is this , does he know that he should develop pieces and castle? What is he calculating is just the opening... Hm.. lets see if i can see something.. 10 sec passing , Nope empty.. is it my move? No his clock is running..Maybe i should tell him it his move .. then he plays something and i am in shock.. what.. but that is super weak move.. ok then show me.. he did another weak move and THEN out of nowhere grabbed rook and 2 pawns for 1 piece... But i still believe is weak, because his king was in center, queen side undeveloped and his knight was out of place.. i launched an attack but.. failed.. did he calculated like 5-10 moves , are you kidding me... Was he Deep BLue... later analysis shows i am okay even it's scary for him but icould not calculate to find all the strong moves and i lost... I look at position and just could not calculated it was too much..i had 4 pieces close to his king.. but could not see any winning combination.. pink elephands inside my head and clock is ticking an i was exchange and 2 pawns down.. wow.. if it was blitz game he would be gone...
Man if this is how 2050 is suppouse to play.. i am long long way away.. i play move by move just like its blitz game lol but managed to beat 1850!
