The Mexican Reshevsky attack
My uncle is a gm and he told us to never move our king in such way...
Your uncle is right, but remember this was a simul against mostly Class B players haha.
Nakamura did this to show his disrespect towards a +- 2500 rated grandmaster and he win.
It is a tricky opening. White can quickly start a pawn storm on the kingside, now that the king and queen are switched.
I agree. It is not the best idea to move knigth e4+. It is too hasty. And black has moved his knight twice (thus losing some tempo).

You must admit it is extremely tempting to move the knight and check the king though.
i have once heard: "Try to check opponent's king if you are able because it can even be checkmate." And the most stupid part of it is that some teachers are really using this phrase...
I don't believe Reshevsky used such a nonsense , even in a sim.
If he wanted to use something crazy there are far more clever things than this.
Can you show us where we can find Reshevsky's games with that thing?
By the way , congratulations for posting more useless stuff than the professor of useless stuff(Yigor).
I would never believe that someone can be better than Yigor in useless posts.
You got something against Mexicans?
Wow that's a cool opening. However I'm not brave enough to play it in a rated game.
Imma try it....and master it.
Taco Bell is terrible. but yea.....best taco makers for sure.
I seriously can't wait to try this Mexican Reshevsky Attack though
The OP looks like a she. I'd have to dis-agree, so far on her last two threads i've learned quite a bit.
So I should learn your Hippo system?? Maybe you a bit jelly...would you like some peanut butter with that jelly? or ...KY....come on now, tranquila Diedre..

This is NOT bs. Reshevsky was known for sometimes experimenting with openings, especially in simuls. And believe it or not, he did NOT lose a single game with this opening, which he nicknamed the Mexican Attack. If Black is not careful, they can lose quite easily against it. A good strategy is to do a fast pawn storm on the kingside.
The Mexican Reshevsky Attack is as follows below, it has been played by GM Reshevsky numerous times. He called it the Mexican attack because he won a LOT of games in a SIMUL in Juarez, Mexico with it. The opening sequence is below:
It is a strong opening for blitz, in my opinion. And Reshevsky could very easily have been World Champion, had he not been cheated by the Russians.
