He did lose, by resigning immediately. I get what you mean though

BTW, why did you post the diagram if no moves at all were made?

I'm guessing he resigned because I had a higher rating, because I saw that afterwards he played someone with a lower rating.

I thought posting a diagram would have more effect than "my opponent resigned immediately".

My guess is that he wanted to play rated games and overlooked in first place that this was unrated.

If he aborts too often, he'll get his account restricted. If he resigns, he won't.

Perhaps he only wants to play black, or had to releive himself, or decided it was time to go trolling on youtube for awhile. People are strange.

Who cares?  Just take your hard-fought well, deserved victory -- take some time off, relax, have yourself a nice dinner and night out.  Then study, train, and get into shape for your next contest in a few months.
