The Similarities between Chess and Life

Chess, is almost a way of life, as you have to think your way through the moves as the game progresses... opening, middle game, and then end game. Just like the steps, we will all take in our lives. There will be mistakes done, but also brilliant moves. This idea may already be present in many people, but this is just a reminder. All in all, just remember each and every move on the chessboard can also signify a piece of your life.

Making a salad sandwich is like life. Theres a slice of bread as the opening stage. This is followed by the filling, which can be tomato, lettuce , cheese, gherkin and beetroot with chicken, salami, tuna or pastrami. This is the middlestage, a bit like midlife, and in chess terms the middlegame. Followed by another slice of bread, which is the end game, a bit like life.

Water is also like life, at least 80% of it. The rest, I guess, is a combination of air and chess

Chess is like life because it shows how your action is met by a reaction.  It also shows that even the best laid plans can be thrashed by an unexpected reaction that you didn't see beforehands.  But when your strategy is successful, you feel good.  When you make mistakes, if you learn from them, you will grow as a person as well as improve your chess game.

chess is like life there is always a queen hiding in the corner stealing your pieces just like in life there is a always an unexpected catch just you did not saw before
