Why?
The Stalemate Forum

essentially, the conversations happening in other forums don't follow your own personal guidelines, so you've established an enviroment where you have power over membership AND posts. so essentially, you're not happy being one opinion among many, you just want the control. you get hounded on these forums which is pretty weak, but its starting to become a bit daft all these group/forum things.

If you think that I will ban people from that group because they disagree with me, you are wrong. I don't do those types of things.

1. No silly votes. I have had enough of Lenny Bongcloud votes in my threads on the main forums, and I am NOT going to tolerate that in this group. 2. No personal attacks. Please keep this group a debate forum, and not a forum full of personal attacks. 3. Please remain on-topic. This group (and the site) was meant for chess, not anything else. 4. No spamming. Please do not spam. Again, this was meant to be a group, and a site, about chess. So talk about chess here, and nothing else. 5. I will NOT give warnings. Reading these rules, either in the group description, this thread, or on my "Welcome" thread on the group, should be more than enough warning. If you break these rules, you will be BANNED from the group.
'off-topic' and 'silly' comments have a fair bit on interpretation involved, im guessing you choose whats silly and whats not? you got every right to start your own groups but pal, just because some arseholes put waffles and bongcloud on your topics doesnt mean you need to start all this control forums stuff, just shut your ears sometimes.

There is a difference- anti-stalematers are not silly. I think stalemate should be a draw, but if someone else thinks stalemate should be a loss, I will not block him. I think Kasparov and Capablanca are the best players ever, but if someone said on my group that Fischer was the best, I would not block him, either. But if they said that Lenny Bongcloud was (a silly vote, because no one actually thinks he is the best) on a thread meant to be serious, I would block them. There is a difference.
I have made a new group about the debate on whether stalemate should be a loss or a draw.
