There is definitely a correlation between puzzle rating and rating

For instance most 1500-1600s are 2700 in puzzles  and 2000s are 3000-3200, so its about a 1200 point gap, those crazy ones dont count those are extreme cases

Yes, on average, if you have a good game rating, you're going to have a good puzzle rating if you do sufficient puzzles.

I like to think that I have the potential to be 1700-1800 (by that logic) with my peak puzzle at 2900 and current at 2800.

But again, it’s just a potential. Realistically though I’m gonna top out at 1600.

I did have an explosive growth since September because I started playing more games and in just under a year (like 9 months) went up 500 points.

no way youre not going up man i think you can get 1600

also you puzzle rating will not translate as well if you play bullet or blitz

That's probably about right. I always thought it was about a thousand point difference, but it could be more. Mine is a little bit off right now, with 1400 point difference.
