Neither of you look of legal age for gambling. There are good reasons that you're not allowed to gamble but you may not discover them until you've lost a lot of money.

Yes. I can legally gamble but I understand psychology well enough to not do it. Approximately zero underage gamblers understand the psychology of gambling.
Also, no bookmaker who takes bets from underage gamblers is trustworthy.
