I couldn't help but notice, while playing through a few hours of chess puzzles yesterday, that something seemed a little off... though I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
Then, this morning, it hit me...
The term 'smothered mate' used to be used to describe certain checkmates (and quite aptly, at that!), while now this term has been entirely scrubbed from the entire site! (You know the checkmates where the opposing king is entirely SMOTHERED onto a square?)
