why are you showing all the lines that a king could attack if it had the powers of all the other pieces or are you showing the squares that pieces could be on to attack the king?

Rather than using colors, how about using elevation differences in the squares in 3D? Also, for those on drugs, how about showing the increase in the absolute value of a piece based on it's position by increasing the size of the piece?
