Third term for President Obama?

Sort:
johnmusacha

There are some rumblings in D.C. about a possible push to repeal the XXII Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (1947) that set the two term limit for Presidents.

This is obviously with the intent of having Obama serve a third term (or more), as polls show that he would easily secure election in 2016 against any potential challenger.

What say you to this shocking news?

The internet google "app".

Unless this got moved to off-topic in the last 10 minutes.

Thankfully, this will remain "rumblings" and rumors and will never become "news."

If you really had a clue about how the U.S. Constitution is amend, you would know the chances of this happening before the President could run for a third term has no chance at all. For one it would never obtain the supermajority needed in D C.. Then it would have to be approved by 3/4 of the states. Go get a high school gov. book and educate yourself before you name yourself look stupid again.

Obama has been good for the UK economy Laughing

Lolz.

Thanks for the lecture pops.

Why should they bother trying to pass an amendment to the US Constitution, when all branches of the government practically ignore it anyway? Imagine trying to play an opponent who continually changes the rules of the game to ensure he will be victorious. That is what we have in Washington D.C.

As much as I like O'Bamma, I would prefer to see the ticket of Hillary Clinton, and Elizabeth Warren.

It's not astounding so many vote so poorly. Our founding fathers lived within "The Age of Reason." We live in the age of unreason.

I find it astounding anyone would vote for Obama or Clinton next election cycle. Both have been absolutely corrupt, bald faced liars that have done everything they can to flush the US down the toilet both in foreign policy and at home in securing the borders. Wake up and do your research instead of voting for these corrupt left-wingers because it's the 'cool' thing to do.

Voting in Clinton in 2016 would bascially be the same as Obama having a third term.

She has zero chance of getting elected. She's not likable.

I think she's cute, I'd vote for her.  Why not?  She would be a fun president.

Are you wearing beer goggles? Besides looks are the last reason you should vote or not vote for someone.

BishopTARDIS

Actually I don't know why she'd want to be President at this point. She's making a fortune on the speaking circuit. President Obama himself (and Michelle) probably already have $20 million worth of speaking engagements lined up for when they leave the White House.
