Personally, I just dont like it when I lose a game and immediately a person asks for a rematch, the person that loses reserves the right to ask for a rematch, I think its bad etiquette to ask for a rematch as a winner unless there is a series of games being played. But as for the purpose of this thread, rematches are not obligational and I will usually decline rematching opponents due to the fact that miraculously every opponent that I do rematch has instantly become a Grand Master capable of playing without thinking or calculating and is indeed going to beat me back like 80% of the time.
Have you ever tried to make friends? Not showing the right attitude... No one should be forced to cater to your ego. It's impossible not to find another rival.
Nobody is obligated to play a game with you if they don't want to. It's very unprofessional of you to believe that you can order them to.
