This site is so buggy

This is a lot worse than most sites. Why is it that whenever I start a game, I get a pop up telling me my connection isn't strong enough, but then when I press <play> again, the site immediately starts searching for an opponent?
The fix your internet, Don't blame other people for your problems.

I don't know if the button actually blocks users or not. *THAT IS NOT THE POINT!*
The point is that if you don't get the chance to confirm that you really want to block a user, then you could click on the button by accident and not realise that you'd blocked somebody. Also, when you expect a pop up to appear, but it doesn't, that makes you think something is broken, or that you've done something wrong.
It all adds up to a bad user experience. I would have thought that Chess.com would appreciate such feedback from their users but seemingly they just find it a big inconvenience.
ok, that's quite reasonable, but then the title was misleading to me. It's not really a bug, then, just something that doesn't feel right. You should move this to site feedback.
It's far from the only problem.
I think chess.com is not mature enough for phone play, computer is probably ok though. But on phone, no!

Well the chess.com mobile app is very good for phone play

apart from the fact that the app loses connection to the server(s) on a daily basis and sometimes logs out the user, it is good and ”stable” .. but clearly it has greater tendencies to disconnect than other apps, at least on my Iphone.
If someone wants to look into what causes this, Im all in to contribute with more input.

Well it’s not good for hyperbullet but it’s good if you just want to play some blitz without much lag. From my experience I’ve disconnected more using the website than the app for mobile. But yeah playing on computer is ideal for chess.com I guess
The interface constantly freezes, for some reason when time is running low. Stupid ads pop up. Im sorry, this is not for me, Ill go with the open source alternative, who needs this mess?

it crashed when I was posting about how awful this site is..............................................
okay but the site is super buggy. it sucks this conversation got derailed by a flame war & low value complaints like blocking users because the site is constantly crashing causing me to lose games to abandonment when i am sitting there with a perfectly good connection (all other internet enabled programs run just fine). i have reported this numerous times to no response to the admins. does anybody else notice this problem?

i got a response from support over this freezing/abandoning games issue but they didnt solve anything they kept telling me to check my wifi which is NOT the problem & it keeps happening. please please please fix your software chess dot com ive lost probably a 100 games due to this constant error & it makes it so much harder to improve my rating im so tired of this terrible service & support

On the explorer page, the flip board button is invisible and only appears when you hover over it! Anyone looking for it will only be able to find it by guessing.

Pretty sure that was by design. That's the way it used to work in Live and likely never got updated to match the rest of the site for Explorer.
Every site will have its strengths and weaknesses. Personally, I don't ever run into any serious issues with Chess.com.
same
agreed, I haven't really had too many problems except when the servers keep crashing, but when they don't everything runs well.
