I'm pretty sure it means you had poor connection. The game shows his time running out until it realizes that you disconnected from the server, then it sees that it was actually your time running out. It's happened to me too.

Yes, although chess.com takes cheating seriously discussion isn't allowed in public forums, due to the fact in discussion of this topic, the original poster, will most likely get attacked, or, the discussion will escalate into many undesirable things, like the religious and political debate club: OPEN DISCUSSION there is a cheating club for this purpose, called the Cheating forum, where the moderators of the site will examine your problem.

I just played (REMOVED) in a 5/5 game. I made a move with 4 minutes left on my clock and watched his run down to 1:30. Then his move popped up, his time reset to over 3 minutes and MINE was reset to 1:30. I quickly made another move and saw his clock running down again. Suddenly the pop-up shows he won the game on time!!! Looking at the game log, my last move was not recorded. Is this cheating of some sort?
