Tough to find slow play opponents unless you join a club. This is the largest, but there are others.
You do have to have a certain number of finished games to join though.

I'm a beginner and was playing a 30 min live chess game, I felt I could win (of course) and then I received a message that I had timed out. Must mean I had played for 30 min and my time was up. How do I choose longer time for play (and I don't mean adding five minutes to a game because I've played 30 moves)? If I want to have as much as an hour available for a game would I get anyone to play with or does everyone want faster games? I just don't want to time out again. I need more time to consider my moves, are they good, bad, is there a better move, am I about to make a blunder?
