Time has come

Its been more than a year that I am so attached to chess... it hurts when I end up with no idea about what's going on in the board.. I never played rated tournament but I have played couple of rapid unrated tournaments. Yesterday also I played one and I end up losing 3 with equal position which I think. With no one to advise or guide it's very tough to understand and improve... got Silman's amateur mind, started reading.. the problem I am facing mostly is that I always want to be defensive.. I love defending but I can't stand against fierce attacks.. and I am scared of pawn push where as I don't have the courage to do mine thinking how to defend it later. Any suggestions?

Have a look at the study plan (http://becomingachessmaster.com/study-plan/) on my website. Maybe you get some inspiration there.

Good luck.
