Time Out

I just finished my first game on chess.com.  I lost on time.  I thought I'd get an email whenever it was my move.  In fact, the only time I got an email notification was when I was close to losing on time.  Eventually, of course, I got a notice, was otherwise occupied for several hours, and lost by default.  Is there a setting I can use that will assure I will get a notice immediately when its my move?

I assume you're playing online (correspondence) chess?  There is a setting for notifications that will send you an email every time it's your move.  Go to your options in online chess and click the box next to "alert me when it is my move, I am running out of time, or I receive a challenge."
