I've played a few 3 minute games, been way behind on points but won due to my opponent losing on time. I'm just beginning my chess endeavors and am a mediocre player , that being a very generous overstatement. are these legitamet wins? I would LOVE to hear some opinions.

They count. As long as you realize you were losing.

They're completely legitimate wins; just remember to look beyond the win/loss column. Your play style has many facets to it, each one with weaknesses and strengths (like time management), and they all play various roles in different types of matchups.

Thank you. I do have a tendency to be preoccupied with the w/l of my gaming. I definitely would like to become a well rounded player of chess, hence the question about time wins. I do not want to make it a habit of doing so, but I will take my last few wins as a strong lesson about time management. my confidence in gaming would grow considerably more if I could do more than "not lose", but as the first comment on this thread mentioned... a win is a win for now! Thank you again... Happy Gaming!!!
