timer hacks or Bad connections?

I've been warned by chess.com that some players had considered my comments abusive. But fyi I was only making remarks about 2 things:

1. I don't know if my timer is being hacked or my connections hang all of the sudden (im on last gen fibre optics btw) but I'm losing many many games because my timers seems to stop and opponent always wins

2. Mixing 1m bullet games with 1m+increments games without the 1m player knowing he is playing a player who chose 1m+increments. I imagine many dishonest players choose 1m+ bc there's that final edge that comes from surprising your unbeknownst opponent.

This makes me angry, I probably do say something about it on game chat. If i'm ever kicked let it be known it was for an honest cause :)

Your local connection quality is only a part of the connection equation. Other processes on your device, other traffic on your connection, and any of the equipment the traffic passes through on the way to the chess.com Live server process can cause lag or disconnects.

Some things you can do on your end to minimize issues: https://support.chess.com/article/213-how-do-i-fix-my-disconnect-lag-issues

I looked through four pages of your archive and you haven't played increment games. What you are seeing is lag, lag compensation, and/or disconnects which can cause time added to your opponent's clock in your clock.

Finally, the two clients never directly communicate, so your opponent doesn't have your connection details and can't hack you.

There are no secret increments, they're called pre moves.

Premoves on their own don't add clock time, since they always use at least 0.1 seconds, but paired with potential lag/disconnects can result in added time on the opponent's clock on the client side.

Premoves CAN add clock time. If there is 1 sec increment it will add 0.9 seconds to your clock.

In the context of this topic, where the OP doesn't play increment, it doesn't

But valid addition.

In any case, as it is — if doing pre-moves adds clock time or when too much lag leads to a bad pre-move — it's defeating its own purpose

You're being much more than that. I'll send you one of those achievement trophies for your collection.
