timer hit

Hello. I am in a nerd rage right now ofc is why I am even posting. I just played against someone we both had under 10 seconds in a 5/2 blitz live chess match. I decided my tactic was going to move in defensive positions and let the game win on time. However his TIMER HIT 0.00 MULTIPUL TIMES AND HE DIDNT LOSE!~!!!!!!!!!. ok, ok, I understand we are matched from people all over the world and there might be a latency issue, but I assue you, this was beyond the typical cross world ms of like 350 ping. this was like a full second, then he moved and his time went back to 2 seconds. This happened about 4-5 times. Was it a battle of noobs? yes. Does it really matter because I suck at chess? yes, it does matter.
