I am not sure if it is just me or do some of you have days where you beat +200-300 rated players and the very next day lose to players rated 400 points less than than you.. And when you keep pushing, you keep losing!!

What do you do.. just forget it and move on to the next day? give it a break for some days? keep pushing??

Also what are your thoughts on why (like factors) these happen???

I said it before, I will say it again. My opinion. Why does a boxer like example Roy Jones Jr, excellence, lose to some unknown guy from Cuba. Styles. Styles cancel out styles. Grandmasters don't like mentioning it. Same reason Bobby Fisher, Gary Kasparov lost over and over to some unknown dudes from russia. Patterns of play. Patterns cancel out Patterns. I could never beat my uncle in chess, to high rating. I played him over and over for 3 months. I didn't care about the game, just payed attention to the way he played. I started beating him, he got pissed said it wasn't possible. He changed his way of playing when it came to me, he started winning again etc...

I don't play very much chess so I lose a lot of games when I do play. I think what is appealing about chess is the puzzles within each game and not so much the outcome. Play for the love of puzzles and the bad days won't be so bad.
