Your account isn't even old, you only played 15 rapid games. With that information I can't accurately 100% assess your skill level. Now let's just say 1700-1800 because it seems like it's starting to stagnant which at that rating is solid. 1800 to 2000 just continue doing what you're doing, at the time I was doing puzzles, analyzing my games, play games, brushing up on openings a bit to but not to much but a bit. 1800 to 2000 isn't difficult but it can be you aren't training consistently, because how I see chess is if you consistently practice with focused efforts you will improve. Good luck! my dms are open if you have any questions not that active of a player but I still did that rapid grind making it to 2000 from being a 300 elo beginner in 15 months, starting relatively late at age 17.

Edit: I am focusing on your rapid rating, if you are going for 2,000 blitz that's another story. I don't think I can help that much in that department. 😅

Thanks so much for the advice! Actually I have beaten a lot of my friends that are above 2100, and even my dad who is around 220l multiple times. My rating deviation is high because I just started but I think I could hit 2k pretty easily as long as I win more than I loose.

Zahavens

I just suck at blitz in general probably could not get higher than like 1800 or 1850 just blunder on time pressure a lot

ChessboyDanielLi

good job dont give up

Zahavens

U too ur almost there

Anyone here jumped from 1500 to 2000 fast? What helped you most: tactics, openings, or endgames?

Zahavens

for me I think endgames helped the most because 1500s and 1600s are not extremely good at endings, after that you got to learn more openings for 1700s-1800s because they play uncommon openings like the kings gambit, and are very well versed in them. Tactical play usually get way better after you hit 1900, atleast in my experience

Learn about strategy and imbalances. Try pirating how to reassess your chess, 4th edition.

I’m willing to bet your house that this way works

Zahavens

ok i am willing to test that theory out but what if my rating drop to like 1400 after that?

Zahavens
