Tired of sandbagging players

How about in place of the ads you keep sending me you control the pairing algorithm a little better.
There is no pairing algorithm. When you send out a game seek you specify the rating range of your opponent, and you get paired with someone in that range.

Sandbagging Is when you play under a rating that is lower than your actual strength, there is no feasible way to detect Sandbagging in each of the thousands of games online

If you suspect someone of not playing fairly then report them here

They may not be sandbagging, they might just have been really unactive for a long time and they just got back to chess.com. They will probably have improved dramatically. A lot of people have been accused for sandbagging when they really weren't. You can see sandbagging if someone intentionally loses a ton of games in their archive.

Thats all true. I lose to players who are 1300 but often beat 1600 players. And it's even hard to tell when someone intentionally loses. I lose games on time, if I have to leave to get the phone or something else, or if I get diconnected (which happens a lot). But even then, I dont see how it matters. I am still playing someone who is a certain ability. If he is rated 1300 but plays to a 1700 it doesn't bother me any. He could have had the exact same issues I had which pushed his rating way down.

ya you aren't exactly that good. You don't seem to be in a position to be accusing others of sandbagging. Do you have a specific game you could show us?

I am very bad at bullet. Maybe the scrollpad is sandbagging me (should get a decent mouse at home). I lose on time all the time, and has a bulletrating ca 1000 below my online. But I am slow too. If I cant win in ca 30 moves, I lose on time (2+1 bullet).

Just out of curiosity; how many games did you lose to the alleged sandbaggers?
Equally important: How many games have you won in which you'd evaluate your opponent's rating to correspond well with his ability?
Finally: how many games have you played, in which your opponent's rating appeared to be inflated ?

There are a number of players out there that use a "mirror" game, they track your moves on another chess application. This way they use the "mirror" to cheat, playing the computers moves as their own. This makes the chess.com rating system worthless. Just ignore it.

Any game example?
At your rating level, you might be running into strong players who've just opened a new account.

I can see where a player might sandbag in otb rated tournaments so that they could win a cash prize later on but i honestly can not see a motive to sandbag here. Since my rating here is close to what it used to be at uscf i doubt if there really is much cheating going on here. There is plenty of cheating accusations going on though.
Looking for an example? Ok. I play 950 level blitz. I am a terrible chess player but enjoy the game. I get paired with another 950 player but upon checking their rating, their top score is 1700 with wins at 1900. Hmm. Their moves are efficient and lack obvious errors. I know what 950 looks like. It looks like me:)
How does one fix the pairing algorithm? Simple. Pairing should based on a margin that always accounts for the top rating. Not the current rating. If an expert uses your account "just once" and ramps up the rating that is on you. Need to play weaker players because you have taken time off and your skills have decreased? Start a new account. Simple.
I play chess to have fun. It stands to reason that an average player at any level should win roughly half the games they play. It is no fun to sit down and lose 10 games in a row.
Relevant helpful and nice. How about the idea of getting just a couple fair matches once in a while? This site is overrun with sandbagging players and they seem to care not. Chess.com is a joke. I hate this site. You would think that all these smart kids could develop a functional filter that eliminates sandbagging [Edited for language - Mod.] like those in my most recent games. 1700 playing down to 1100.
