Tired of the fragility on this platform

>“Are you just trying to force a justification for the thread being locked? Because what you're saying makes no actual sense.”

It makes perfect sense. I’m not “forcing a justification”. I’m telling you a reason why they probably did it.

>“No one broke any rules by declining a rematch... so there’s nothing to ‘report’”

That’s the point. They weren’t breaking any rules but you were still calling them “cowards” and “fools”.

>“It was simply a general discussion, not aimed at any specific individual.”

A “general discussion” huh? I remember you constantly insulting people who proved you wrong.

>“The more I read these responses, the more I realize how simple minded most of you are.”

This is also a reason to be locked. Verbal abuse. Maybe you should read the community guidelines.

The reason I decline almost all rematches is because when the matches get to personal, I tend to rage more at the games I lose, and because of that rage I play worse. I want to play the board not the person. I don't think that makes me a coward and if it does I don't really care lol.
A best of 3 format isn't a bad idea, but it's not for me.

Ridiculous. So you're saying the mod was implying that instead of pointing out someone's cowardly behavior, I should’ve reported it to staff instead?

Honestly, you should stop responding... you’re just embarrassing yourself further.

TaterBoy37
That’s not what I was saying at all.
TaterBoy37
Do you really think I’m the one embarrassing myself right now? LOL

At the core of all that is one thing: fear. You play worse because you fear losing.

You're human, so it's natural to come up with reasons to deny that. But any sensible person can see through what you said and recognize that fear is driving most of your decisions when it comes to chess.

TaterBoy37
Why is fear your only assumption?

It actually is...just not directly.

If you thought more critically, you'd notice the connection. But as I said, you tend to only pick up on surface level things.

Read what the person wrote...you will see for yourself that its fear... its not an assumption

I was the one who said it. So I would know what I was trying to say. You are the one not making the connection.

You were embarrassingly trying to interpret what the mod meant by 'Report users you're suspicious of and don't discuss it in the general forums.'

Do you see now how my previous response ties back into everything?

Australis-Anarcko

i mean i just dealt with someone calling me idiot over and over, not to fond of rematching that guy, im not saying you trashtalk but could you be the issue why people dont want a rematch? (talking about the original post)

SixInchSamurai

Da legal way to fight against "cowards":

ChessMasteryOfficial

Mods aren’t trying to protect cowards. They’re trying to prevent witch hunts, finger-pointing, and negativity that makes forums hostile to new players and constructive conversation.

Desri_18-12

They losing zero sleep over being "a coward" but still winning the game

theeldest1

I can't help but notice that you didn't answer my question: "Is there a problem with simply not wanting to play you again?"

theeldest1

I would be happy to challenge you to a best of three...but I wouldn't get any rating points.

While that user may have been wrong to call you an idiot, the fact remains that you avoid rematches because you aren’t tough enough to handle trash talk.

That boils down to one word.... FEAR

Ok, since you seem to be a mod interpreter, what exactly did the mod mean when they locked my thread with the reason: report users your suspicious of and please don't discuss in general forums?

I already answered that. If you didn’t understand it, that’s on you.
