Hanukkah came very early this year. I do infrared photography and the Menorah looks amazing with it. Instead of one day of presents you get eight crazy nights! :D Remember to leave some wine and a chair out for Elijah? Wait, wrong ritual ^_^ Greeks, Assyrians, and Romans when they had Israel would ban circumcision, and nations such as many Christian kingdoms in the middle ages and Nazi Germany banned it (and blamed Jews for poisoning wells and cursing harvests despite the deviation from logic that one would hurt themselves by cursing crops) so remember that history whenever a country has the urge to ban the practice.

Are you talking of banning it on humans or on animals? I am against chopping of parts of any living creature.

P'shaw. The days of celebrating the solstice are behind us. What most people in the U.S. practice this time of year is a peculiar hybrid of consumerism and sloth. Hell, we're too lazy to even be hedonists.
I wish you the best Christmas, to all who follow another path I hope their holidays are blessed according to your beliefs.
