To resign or not to resign?

I am seeing more and more players these days facing certain mate who do not resign.  So I am curious peoples thoughts on this... Do you think it's better to allow the opponent the mate or to resign?

The evergreen theme once again. You asked for it, prepare yourself for a waffle offensive. Resign is my choice. :-)
