Ms. Vera Menchik, oh yes she is very good!  Only she forget to duck.

Let the girls stick to their kitchens and sandwich making, and the guys can stick to their intellectual activities.

An example of why he's embarrassed to refer to himself in first person.

When I looked into her eyes I could see she was more a Tal than a Korchnoi...

If it is Tal you better wear shades!

i'm guessing you've never heard of vera menchik, the polgar sisters, or any of the other real IM or GM strength women playing now days.

Sounds like nothing but a bunch of lousy sandwich makers to Teary! Maybe they wouldn't be so bad at it though if they left the chess to the men and focused instead on their cooking and knitting, like real women should!

Virtually all women are attractive, doesn't matter if they play chess or not.

I play chess to meet girls. It hasn't worked out too well so far. I'm having trouble finding them. I think I will give up chess soon if the situation doesn't improve and go back to more conventional methods such as bars and tanning salons.

I learned chess from her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep7LTCfEqjI

The simple fact of the matter is, that any person that isn't boneheaded is probably going to look for their own passions in their mate... or, if you happen to be a polygamist, mates. I seriously doubt many chess players are polygamists though...

That said, chess players always get the best girls. They do know the best mating patterns, after all! Tongue out

Thanks beefhash! Rachel has just reaffirmed my faith in finding a decent girl in the chess community. She even taught me a few concepts I didn't know - the bishops and pawns are the only pieces which do not have genders; rooks are actually castles and knights are actually horses.
