Too heavy figures in chess

I bought recently a tournament chess set plus board. I was amazed how heavy the figures are. I can imagine that triple weighted figures are not ideal to play blitz. Or am I wrong concerning this? Do people playing blitz OTB prefer not too heavy figures, or do this not matter at all?
