Tournament Points

As one of the tournaments I participated in just concluded I had a look at the tournament points list. I finished two tournaments this year placing 5th and 2nd for a total of 107pts.  I look at the leaders for 2011, there is awardchess with some 150 tournaments and an insane 11,000 something points. In 4th place is Haddad who has played according to the table in as many tournaments as I have: two (2). Yet he managed two collect some 4000 points. Others have zero (0) tournaments listed and yet show a significant amount of points. Maybe, it is just me but it doesn't make any sense. Can anyone enlighten me?

Also, while I recall that a certain number of points are available at any given tournament I don't see any breakdown after a tournament finishes which makes the whole point thing even more obscure.

You're looking at only this year's tournaments; All time, awardchess has played in over a thousand tournaments.

Once the tournament is over the "Standings" display the points awarded.

TadDude, thanks!. I missed that the info is underneath the standings tab. I figured someone would have the answer to that.

@ Oinquarki: I noticed that. Awardchess' efforts cannot even be called a job because at least after 8 hours or so you can go home.

I am still puzzled how haddad managed to get 4000 pts in only two tournaments.
