Toxic chess players, what to do?

When dealing with toxic and hateful chess players, they're just sore losers. It doesn't matter if they won or lost,  it only matters that deep inside they need help. If someone you know is a toxic player or you play with a toxic player, chill, it wont hurt you.

If you want, you can block chat

I have chat and messages disabled, by default. The only thing my opponents can do to interact with me, aside from playing, is offer me a draw, request a rematch, or resign.

That used to be possible, when I was lower rated.

But at the level I play now, most of my opponents take the game quite seriously, and wins or losses become something personal. If they win, they mock and insult. If they lose, they curse and threaten.

It's not pleasant, either way - so I just have chat disabled by default.

It's crazy but some people on here even complain about gg as if it's an insult.

Whenever you get a chat message during a game, 99/100 it will be a troll message, even when you lose. I have chat off now.

99/100 it's used to insult people.

Ignore them.
