It's my way or not at all!
Traders Are The Worst (or, "Why not just play checkers")

That is just their playing style maybe they are just best at endgames.
If they trade whenever they can, though, likely they will have an inferior endgame.

so why is everyone complaining? if trading pieces just enters you into a lost endgame, you should be happy that they continue to do that! take your rating points and move on

also if you don't take chess seriously then why even play?
for fun is that even a question

yes but many people don't study endgames
Then they should study them.
But most players don't so it would give them an advantage in the end game (if they studied the end game)

I guess you could play it for fun but not all people just play it for fun
Almost everyone does. More people make money from videogames than chess, and videogames are known for being played for fun.

The trader people? Maybe not. If they trade every opportunity, then they will probably have damaged pawn structures and weaknesses.
So an inferior endgame.
Funny, I actually will look for the trade if it gives me an advantage, and sometimes just to disrupt the opening. Then I looked at his draw rate. He's drawing at 7.3% in Rapid chess, while my draw rate is 6.2%
Funny how someone who doesn't like trades actually has a higher draw rate than someone who actually likes to trade.
And here's the ironic thing. I do trades to stop openings. Which happens to be a bunch of pre arranged moves. I would think constantly doing the first 10 to 15 moves the same exact way would be way more boring.

maybe but if they trade and not damage the pawn structure then they have a good chance

Yes, that's true.
But then they wouldn't always trade whenever it is possible, if they want an equal endgame.

Actually, I kind of agree with the OP. It’s really super annoying when my opponents (most all of them) refuse to play the way i want them to play. If they would play the way i want them to play, my strategy would look so amazing! It’s all so sick and pathetic that these Traders force me to allow them to make Trade after Trade after Trade and then gobsmack me in the end game. If my opponents would stop Trading everything my rating would be soooo much higher than it is.
But then, I’m really not very good so maybe I should actually learn when and when not to trade just for the sake of trading or perhaps avoiding obvious traps that force me to trade just for the sake of trading. Traders are just big whiny losers.
Traders are the worst. These are the players who aim to tradeoff all the pieces as quickly as possible, usually within the first 10-15 moves. What motivates a player to do this? Laziness. Depression. Lack of tactical skill, etc...
In any case, I find there are a LOT of players here on Chess.com who are basically just passing time, using chess as an excuse not to go anywhere or do anything. This is REALLY frustrating when I sit down to play a good game, hoping to increase my rating. The Trader isn't interested in a "good game", they just want to pass the time. Usually they don't even have endgame skills per se... sometimes they are a combination of Traders and Bean-Counters (players who spend the whole game counting pawns), and that is kind of like going to a dance club on Saturday night, and the place is empty and I've paid to get in, but I'm the only one at the club.
So just think that that is dirty and very low-class: using boredom as a weapon in chess. If you play at a real club OTB, no one uses these pathetic anti-strategies because everyone is really trying to play their best game. Just trading everything every time is too risky for a serious player trying to win at all costs.
Is there a way to avoid these incarcerated, homeless time-wasters?
Can players be flagged for purposefully playing bad chess?
If you wanted to play a serious game online you'd be playing poker for money. Chess means nothing. There's nothing on the line and the results of the game mean nothing, either. Chess is nothing but a time waster and nothing more. I have no idea what you thought you were participating in here. It's just a silly, casual board game!
I LOVE this comment!
Finally somebody said it. Too many people on this site take it seriously, crying about every little rating point. "hEy YoU gUys, aCcOrDinG tO tHiS cHaRt mY rAtiNg sHouLd bE 13o2, iT's OnLy 13o1! sHoUlD I wRitE tHe AdMiNs?"
Just have fun people.
People can take chess seriously.
I see it as artistic, deep, and complex.
However, you can argue about people complaining too much - just don't offend the ones that actually love the game.
Haha, he makes the same mistake as the OP though... it's just sour grapes from bad players.
I.e. "if I can't win, then the game isn't worth winning anyway"
Sure sure, just keep telling yourself that.
At least it's more original than "I'm secretly a GM but all my opponents cheat and that's why I'm rated 1000"
