Trading bishop for knight

Please do tell me if I am being unintelligent, but why does the computer recommend trading the bishop for the knight? Surely the bishop is much more active than the knight? Although restricted by the knight on e5, it still seems to put a lot of pressure, where moves like f4 could linger a few moves ahead?

Where would you move the bishop? After black plays h6, the initiative dies down. The tempo has to be kept up with Bxg8 or Qxd4. Either way the bishop goes - it's activity is temporary.

Oh, thanks. I thought Qxd4 would make Bxg8 unnecessary though.
