Probably my fav is to say "Bold" after my opponent makes a dubious move.
Trash Talkers
I have yet to see an example of trash-talking in this thread. Trash should be executed with tact, and leave the opponent bewildered and full of self-loathing, without prompting a report:
"Not many people at 1200 level can play down a knight and 2 pawns like you!"
Or, perhaps
"I appreciate how you continue to play an obviously losing position...that takes guts, my bro!"
The liquor store owners I know would pull out their shotgun or call the police if you did that, either way it probably won't end up good for you.

Nice once someone blunderd a queen I said you are quite a comedian I laughed really hard
They said I was quite impolite lol
What's your favorite way to trash talk, mine would just be "scared?" and leave it at that because you see all I am doing is asking a question I can't get banned for that, most of them don't take the bait tho lol.
( I fully assure you, I don't do anything to "far")
also if someone says they have to go, I would say " sure about that?" and if they say yes, then I would just say have a good day. and they would be tottally confused.
Actually you can be banned for asking a question, but not that specific one though
However you can probably get muted because that's just bad sportsmanship and rude in some ways
Why bother with trash talk? Be friendly. Life is short. Being unpleasant may make you feel better about yourself in the short run - or give you a sense of catharsis - but I can assure you you'll end up lonely and sad if you follow that path for too long. Everyone makes plenty of mistakes. Have a little empathy - you'll be in their blundering shoes someday yourself.
The best approach for dealing with someone behaving unpleasantly during a game? Ignore them - and beat them if you can. Macho attitudes and trash talk? That's only for the sophomoric. :-)
And if you're slaughtering someone and trash talking them then? That's really bad sportsmanship ... like continuing to run up the score in a football game (or a futbol game!) just to embarrass the other team when they're already down by 100 points. Only jerk coaches allow that to happen (and nobody likes them). Not a good lesson in life. :-)
Even if it "feels" fun, you're hurting yourself in the long run.
lol @DinDin - it's great to trash talk with your friends (especially when they're in carbon form in front of you and you know they enjoy it). So - no buzzkill here. But - doing with people you don't really know on the internet? That's not really "fun". If you've ever played a jerk in tennis who tries to get in your head with trash talk and snide comments, you'll come to realize they just start to get a bad reputation among all the players. (And those reputations are hard to get rid of...) - So have fun. But be aware that this stuff will follow you around. :-)
Now that would be a sound investment in my chess future )
