It’s nice to see that Nalimov is elegant as well as efficient.
Nalimov was playing Black and it's a bit difficult to be very elegant with Black. If you were referring to White, I'll take a bow.

I appreciate your elegance. The finale is one that I teach to my students.
PATRIOT You are again dogging my two questions. This tells me something. You must answer my 2 questions to you and THEN i will answer the question you just put to me.
By the way show me one post where I posted "I know chess is a draw?"
I have never thought of it that way imagining as long as both players play their best they draw. Physically speaking the other side makes a mistake and offers a draw, or the two opponents keep playing the same moves.
in a Wild West shootout, no matter who got shot it was always declared a draw. so in chess no matter if it’s a forced win with best play for white or black, at the end of the day it can be called a draw.

send me s/t...trust me i'll gettit. yee !
why would u play 15...Kc3 ?? just play Kc1.
After Kc1, the same technique as after Ka1 drives the king in front of its pawn, and then the White king moves a step closer. The tablebase plays Kc3 because it is more moves to checkmate.
why would u play 15...Kc3 ?? just play Kc1.
I didn't. Nalimov played that because he thinks he'll last longer in the open.
I've edited it to pull him back a couple of times. (Apologies for the crappy play in the edit.)

Technically, tablebases do not “think”. They know.

Well, technically, @ponz111 would probably concede they don't even know they exist. In any case given the way I played the alternative, he might have been wrong.
I believe from 62 years of playing chess and thousands of my own games that chess is a draw unless one side or the other makes a mistake.
I would suggest that out of billions of chess games that one cannot find even one game which was won or lost without one of the players making a mistake. If anyone thinks they can find such a game please post it here.
Did I miss the post? AFAIK, no one has posted an error free game that did not end in a draw.
This is my best candidate and the loser thinks he erred. See his annotations in Chess Informant
PATRIOT You are dodging my question. So I will ask the question again.
You do know you exist don't you????
You also have not answered my question regarding which definition of the word "faith" you are using?
As for proving chess is a draw--I have gathered a lot of evidence chess is a draw. But very few people try and prove chess is a draw. The vast majority of people who know chess is a draw do not try to prove it. One reason they do not try to prove chess is a draw is that to prove chess is a draw they would be dealing with a whole lot of people who don't play chess or who have such a limited understanding of chess they would either discount the evidence or would not understand fully the evidence.
Just as in checkers...the top players knew checkers was a draw--but they did not try and prove it.
Regarding chess, there is a whole lot of new evidence that chess is a draw.
But still, I wish you would answer my questions??
Sorry, I didn't realize you were asking a question. Most of your sentences go like this......I know chess is a draw?
So many of your statements end with question marks I never know if you are asking a question or if you are just unsure of what you are saying. You ask me things about yourself that I would have no idea how to answer you. I dont know you.
So if you really are asking a question this time, answer mine first. Is it IMPOSSIBLE that the position Ziryab posted be reached any way other than black playing imperfectly?
