At your rate 1100, you should not play faster than 10 mins. At 1500, not faster than 5 mins. 1 min is suited for 2000+ people.

not true.

maybe don't play too much of fast time controls, but you can always play a little

Ehm, the way reality looks was the starting point of my discussion. It is like responding "slavery exists, because it provides cheap labour" when someone raises the point whether slavery is bad.

comparing chess to slavery...

Probably already a topic of much debate, but nevertheless it concerns me.

After so many 1 minute games, I realized these games can better be avoided. So many players who move pieces erratically and eventually win on time. No fun for chess players, but a source of aggravation, at least to me!

Yes, time is an element of the game obviously. But isn't there an ethics of chess involved, to the extent that one should at least try to play chess at their best abilities under time pressure?

There is a grey area of course, but some, if not many, start to play willfully stupid from the first move. I sincerely wonder what motivates them?

Please, share your thoughts on this.

If you don’t think the clock is your strongest piece, don’t play bullet.

Yes, play the 2-minute Bullet time control if you play Bullet at all...anything less and you incur far more risks of losing via timeout; plus the 2-minute level gives you *some* time to think.

Play ultrabullet (30 seconds) and try to win by checkmate. Then you know you are a chess player.

You're comparing slavery to a bullet chess game? We have a problem already.

There's a difference. Slavery is bad. Trying to win on time is in the very nature of bullet.

I'm always losing on time in crushing positions, usually 1 or 2 moves before mating my opponent

One min is intense. You need to think very defensive and think very fast to survive the 1 minute bullet chess game.
