Unfairness of Chess.com

Sort:

I have been playing for about 1 year. Chess.com has consistently repeated there unfair practice of pairing me with player's who are numerically much higher than myself on a regular basis.  When my membership end's I am not going to renew. This has been repeatedly happened and I am very unhappy with it and am going to voice my displeasure!

Are you talking daily, blitz, tournament, what?

There are actually settings that control what ratings will show up to face you.

Well, in your last 10 games, you played players rated higher than you 5 times.

And you played players rated below you 5 times.

None of the players were rated more than 99 points above you.

I don't know what could be fairer than that.

/ You can change your settings so that the range is only 50 above and 50 below.

You have been here a year, and had time to get in 3000+ blitz games, but couldn't take a few minutes to learn how to navigate the site?  And of course its chess.com's fault, you didnt take the time to do your part.

Sadly, its not a troll thread.  Its a typical thread.  Someone not wanting to put in any effort, wants everything explained to them, and its always someone/something elses fault.

how is battling high rated player a bad thing ??

Potato50012

Good, point, it is an opportunity to learn, or increase your rating more than if you played on-par or lower.

Aren't a Dodger's fan I see?

Perhaps by numerically higher the OP meant taller.  The only way he'd find out out was if they trash talked and called him shorty.  Now there are 2 concerns.

I'm also being matched against taller opponents.   I'd like to play hamsters or mice once in a while.

I am eagerly waiting for the day when chess.com removes the 'Forum' feature from its code just like the feature of uploading pictures back in v2.
