Don't put too much into ratings. I climb and fall too, but I tend to win and lose to players rated both above and below me all the time.

I have noticed something about my chess playing and I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts. I play decent chess for a while, my ratings points climb, and then I go on a horrible streak of losing. It is not simply that I am playing stronger players when I move up, because when I begin losing I lose to players who are rated much lower than I am. Anyone ever have similar streaks? It has happened to me several times now. Any thoughts?
