This is a deep talking debate.  Privacy, to be  anonymous in the internet or to be forced to register your documents to use it and use your real name, and the possibility of being tracked anytime.  Which is more secure?  

IMO anonymity is better, but this subject is far from having a final solution.

The only place on this website where I see people being r00d is on these forums and it's probably because they would be dull af otherwise.

I think revealing personal info online(to strangers) is not a good idea unless its absolutely necessary.

Anyway, why do you need any personal info to play chess? Just play chess and make friends. Why do you need personal info?
