V3 shutting down

This version of Chess.com (V2) will be shutting down on September 30th. 98% of our members are using the new site and we need to focus on one platform for the future. We hope the new Chess.com (V3) will continue to be your chess home. We appreciate your feedback and have worked hard to address many of the issues you have shared. Please consider taking this short survey to help us solve the remaining issues you may have with the new site.

Actually, I have a preference for the simply layout of V2 versus V3. Usually platforms are backwards compatible and curious why this was not incorporated?

The v3 visual design was a site decision. They could have made it look however they wanted and the site decided on what you see in v3.

If you go back to a lot of early discussions, the code that v2 runs on, had grown organically over the years and was becoming harder to work on or add features without breaking things. So, in order to grow the the site, add features and make it easier to maintain, they had to do pretty much performa a complete rewrite.

Oh no! What a terrible loss for the company that you are going to cancel your free account.

How will they ever stay afloat without your monthly payments of 0.00$?
