VACATION TIME FOR DAILY GAMES

Hello,

Can we do something about VACATION TIME?  Going on vacation is fine,  life comes first!

BUT...if you have time for other time controls or other features of CHESS.COM then you have time to make moves in 3, 4, 5 or more days games/tournaments!!!! Using this feature is an abuse just to have more time to make a move.   I propose a solution.... If you are on VACATION then all other CHESS.COM features should be unusable till you come off of VACATION.

Tell CHESS.COM you all agree and maybe they will fix this abuse.

Thanks for your time,

Stay well & healthy everyone...

It is on there are abuses.
But often when they start taking vacations, it's already too late for them...

Vacation for daily doesn't mean you don't have some time to get on site, play a few live games, read some articles, etc. That allowance has been on site for as long as I've been here and as long as a member isn't using vacation to prolong hopelessly lost games, they are allowed to use it and still use the site.

Thanks for sharing this concern King610 and encouraging a participation in a discussion.
Your idea is good in my opinion, but as always there are many opinions about such a topic.
I have to admit, I am also a "rather slow player" due to many other aspects (children etc.).
Let's see if chess.com finds a "motivation" for players to respond in time...

hello all, VACATION time does not automatically kick in for PREMIUMS. when time get low CHESS.COM 'pauses' all games until you make a move in a game for PREMIUMS... this makes sense, no time for DAILY, then no time for CHESS.COM features... being a slow player is fine, chess is a thinkers game - just be sporting about it....us fellow TURTLES understand this!!

Stay well & healthy everyone.....

It's variable. The daily timeout protection for premium members kicks in at 30 to 90 minutes remaining.

The site allows members to continue using other features while on vacation for daily games. Unless they're using vacation to postpone hopelessly lost games, that's allowed

You get some added each month up to your maximum bank.

Yes, who needs months of vacation to make 1 move?

What is the point of having a timed game if they can just go on vacation for 53 days? If I wanted to play a 53 day game I would have chosen that.
